KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement of (MQM) Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan has been appointed as the leader of the opposition in the Assembly of Sindh.
Announcing the appointment Agha Siraj Durrani speaker said Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan had the support of the AMP opposition of the majority.
Speaking to the media earlier on Wednesday, the MQM leader Syed Sardar Ahmed said an application for the appointment had been submitted to the Secretariat of the Assembly of Sindh.
The office of the Sindh Assembly opposition leader was detained by Shahryar Maher who said he would submit his resignation to Secretary Provincial Assembly today (Wednesday). Maher said he did not want a notification to be issued for removal.
